About the author,
The creator of this comic goes by the screen name "Jack", which is a play on words based off of the first letter of each of his names. I first heard about a game called "Ragnarok Online (c)" through my brother in-law. Soon I was playing alongside him in a massive multiplayer online role playing game. Joined by my wife, me and my family jumped from game server to game server searching for a place that had both friends and fun. It wasn't long before we found both, sadly not together though. While some servers had great games, the people within lacked certain definable traits. And if we found a good friend, it was the server that lacked that special something to make it great.
At one point I even started my own game server. I located and edited sprites to be used within it, a grueling task if ever there was one. I started with art from the game and added onto it, creating a line of weapons and items unique to my game likes. I do love a big broadsword. After a while I amassed alot of cut and pasted art from the game. Still there was much work to be done, and truth be told it became more of a burden than actual fun for me. So I put this idea on hold (it still is on hold) and I got to looking at all the images I had created. I had alot of stuff here. I thought about all the friends we made playing the game, and remembered how special those game sessions were with them.
It was these special friends, found in the oddest of places, which gave rise to this comic strip. Tales of daring and comedy experienced with these friends fill the pages here. Each character is defined by the personality of certain people with whom this author related to. Their personalities, attitudes, and quirks all build what I consider a great story. So I decided to put their sprite based avatars into this funny, yet spirited tale of quests and face plants.
And it all started with a horrible death at the hands of an OP (over powered) antagonist...
